iOS (Safari)
- Open WAYLO in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
Android (Chrome)
- Open WAYLO in Chrome.
- Open the browser menu.
- Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
Browser limitations — read this
- Installed web apps cannot run full turn-by-turn navigation in the background the way a native app can.
- iOS restricts background location and background audio for web apps.
- Screen-off navigation, native voice ducking and system-level notifications need the native iOS and Android apps, which are planned on the same backend.
Native iOS and Android apps require native mobile development. WAYLO's backend is already structured to serve them.
